Video Frame Buffer

Description

The Video Frame Buffer IP core buffers video data in external memory to be displayed on output devices
such as computer monitors, projectors, etc. The Video Frame Buffer IP core supports image sizes up to 4Kx4K
with YCbCr 4:2:2, 4:4:4 and RGB video formats. It supports dynamic parameter updating via a parameter bus
which can be configured to operate on a different clock from the core. Simple frame rate conversion is
employed to support different input and output frame rates.

Devices Supported

LIFCL-40, LIFCL-17, LFD2NX-40, LFD2NX-17, LFCPNX-100, LAV-AT-E30, LAV-AT-E70, LAV-AT-G70, LAV-AT-X70, LAV-AT-E70B, LAV-AT-E70ES1, LAV-AT-G70ES, LAV-AT-X70ES

Revision History

1.3.0 Added Unified Video Streaming (UVSI) support for Video Interface.
1.2.0 Added Avant support along with AXI4 and AXI4-Lite Interfaces.
1.1.0 Added CertusPro-NX support.
1.0.0 Initial release.

Limitations

1.3.0 To avoid the current output frame from dropping when a new input frame is received by the IP, you can perform one of the following:
-Provide sufficient blanking between frames when frame rate conversion is off.
-Enable frame rate conversion.
Using synchronous reset (sr_i) may cause issues so it is recommended to use asynchronous reset (rstn_i)
